Drilling Fluid Polymer Breakers

Cleansorb supplies enzyme polymer breakers for incorporation into Arcasolve acidizing formulations or for applications not requiring  acidizing e.g. removal of polymers from sized salt/polymer muds:

The enzymes are used to hydrolyse the polymers present in damage arising from the use of drilling and completion fluids e.g. filter cake, or to reduce the viscosity of fluids or brines.  They are effective under a range of downhole conditions.  The enzymes used in the formulations are selected by Cleansorb for their ability to operate under the prevailing conditions of pH, temperature and brine composition.

Polymer breakers are normally supplied for use in Arcasolve acidizing formulations where the presence of one or more polymer breakers allows the complete removal of filter cakes produced from water based carbonate polymer muds or drill-in fluids.    Arcasolve Breaker Enhancer may also be incorporated into treatment formulations to enhance the performance of the enzyme polymer breakers.

Polymer breaking enzymes usually attack particular bonds within the polymer molecule.  In the above example, two different enzymes Enzyme A and Enzyme B, are used to hydrolyse different types of chemical bond within the same polymer molecule.

In some field situations it has been found that the combination of acidizing with oxidizing breakers is beneficial Cleansorb can also supply oxidizing breakers for use with Arcasolve acidizing formulations.
