Dr Ian McKay

 
 Ian McKay Ian has a degree in Microbiology from the University of Leeds and a Ph.D in Applied Microbiology from the University of Reading. He has 30 years experience of the application of microbiology, biochemistry and chemistry in the food, fermentation, environmental and oil industries.

 

Dr Ralph Harris

 
 Ralph Harris Ralph has a degree in Applied Biology from the University of Bath and a Ph.D in Microbial Biochemistry from the University of Kent. He also has 30 years experience of the application of microbiology, biochemistry and chemistry in the food, fermentation, environmental and oil industries.

Both are founders and directors of Cleansorb Limited and named inventors on more than a dozen patents or patent applications in the area of oilfield chemistry.  They have developed the “Arcasolve™ ” acidising process for water based drill-in fluid filter cake cleanup in openhole horizontal wells and have recently introduced Arcasolve Orca™ for treating oil-based drill-in fluid filter cakes. Both continue to work on developing further oilfield technologies, including chemical processes for sand consolidation and self cleaning filter cakes.
