As a former tenant of the Surrey Technology Centre on the Surrey Research Park for several years, Cleansorb has long been aware of the benefits of being located in a University town.

In addition to using University consulting services and appropriate short courses, Cleansorb has now strengthened links with the Chemistry department by employing an M.Chem student for a one year industrial placement to work in the area of novel sand consolidation and water shutoff technologies. 

This is a mutually beneficial arrangement as the student works on a project with a real industrial application, gaining an appreciation of developing practical oilfield chemistry solutions and Cleansorb gains access to a well qualified and keen student,  supported by university academic staff.
